An amazing accomplishment all around -- from the directing, the color cinematography (still relatively unused at the time), the soundtrack, to the performances (the most underrated of which seems to be that of Burl Ives as Big Daddy). I was never a huge Liz Taylor fan but here she is perfectly cast and matches up great with Newman.
In my mind, the movie has aged beautifully, but I wonder what the average modern moviegoer would think.
