I have never heard of this movie before, HEIGHTS, but I rented it. It is such a clever screenplay and the way that it was filmed is really cool with nice shots of New York at night. Glenn Close stars in it and it's kind of a thriller type of movie without any deaths. It's really not predictable and it's like a Robert Altman movie in that there's a cast of characters with separate but intwined lives or as Glenn Close says in the movie, "in New York everyone is only two degrees of separation."

There's great use of developing what reality is in an individual's life, and when you get to the end of it, you remember certain short lines of dialogue that were said earlier in the film that gave clues to the ending. Every part of each character was carefully planned and flushed out as the story develops. I'd be interested to see what anyone else thinks of this film. Even a pack of cigarettes, a name, and a green leather coat take on symbolic qualities.
