French film with the julia roberts of france, charlotte (something). usually foreign films miss a beat with the flow of a modern chick flick (packaged like an american film) or a film about messed up relationships (think CLOSER). this one was really good. it showcased five kinds of marriages with cheating and nagging wifes, mistresses, kids, fighting/screaming, distant husbands and player friends, the usual. charlotte's husband directed and wrote the screenplay.
but it examines the whole thing without being jaded or leaving the audience feeling hopeless. johnny depp makes a cameo speaking french. he's perfect for the role because if you're a married woman who else but Depp would make it believable that she is tempted by him? okay, last sentence made no sense but i'm too lazy to fix it. you get the point.
the soundtrack, if there is one, would be a good one to own.
Yes, it's the original tale of how Prince Charming accidentally took the glass slipper out of his wife's closet and chased an under aged 14 year old girl down the palace steps to see if it just might be hers. what a pick up line.
