Finally rented this gem of a movie, haven't been that impressed with a movie's originality and high-brow humor since the Royal Tenenbaums.
It also seems to be perfectly timed with respect to all the high school shootings. Maybe it'll help these rugrats realize that it's okay to be a loser in HS and to get bullied - if you learn to see the humor in it, it makes the whole experience a lot easier to deal with. Amen.
My favorite character is definetely the older brother, going from nerd to thug.
Yes, I agree. The older brother is hilarious. The part where they attempt to beat each other up and then the door bell rings (where Napolean slaps the brother and then runs) is funny.
The guy who created the movie went to my high school. Random, huh?
I don't remember him. He was two years younger. Plus, I was in the cool click. Kidding!!
* My younger brothers might have known him. I'll need to ask. The conversation will go like this, "hey Robby and Tommy, did you know that guy from the napolean movie? [they'll either answer yes or no]." then I'll say, "the reason that I'm asking is because I sometimes go onto these message boards and the online community wanted to know."
Bring back Napoleon!!!! Or was it a one-hit wonder like the song "Hey Mickey" in the eighties? Sometimes it's best just to let the great ones be and not f8ck them up by making a stupid sequel.
