If you haven't seen the documentary "Dark Days" I suggest you have a look see. It documents the lives of several people that I would call homless except that they live underground in the abandoned area's of New York's subway system. These people have constructed an under ground village of sorts made out of found materials. Very interesting very sad at parts but definently a look at the harsh realities of life under the streets of a bustling society. With musical soundtrack by DJ Shadow it had me tearing up at points.
Do You All Think Documentaries suck or somthing? I think they are entertaining whendone well. Even Micheal Moore has some pretty tasty docu's. Like that little ad'lib abreeviaton I had there "docu's" sounds like I know what the **** Im talking about doesn't it? Thats cus I !@#$!@#!%$%#$#%#$^@!!% do okay???
I tried to watch Dark Days yesterday but only made it halfway through. I do think that the disclosure part of it is great but was a little disappointed by the black and white and by the lack of narrative. Maybe I'll have a different impression by the end...
That was the very first documentary that guy made. That is why he shot it in black and white. But it's more about the people in the film than the film it self fa'show.
