so, I'll go first since I like to respond to myself. (I've discovered that the best conversation that I have ever encountered is me talking to...ME!)

Donald Sutherland was really good. The dance scenes felt claustrophobic and sweaty but perhaps more realistic of the times.

I love the part when Chopper gets that other inmate to chop his ear lobes off so they will transfer him to another prison ahh classic

yeah, especially when all of the inmate harmonize to mozart's fifth orchestra as the earless chap gets carried out on a stretcher.

I LOVED this movie.  I'm rather tired of all the critics who don't like it b/c it doesn't follow the book EXACTLY.  It's Hollywood people!
