This is one of the coolest Samuri movies I have ever seen. Very bloody it is a fragment of the Lone Wolf series. about a man who travels with his infant son after the death of his wife, to escape the wrath of the Shogun. You can definently see the influence this film had on Quinton Tarrentino's fight scenes in his films Kill Bill vol's I & II. But the similarities end there. This is not a new movie but it was recently re-released on DVD completely remastered. So the colors are much more vivid. Definently puts the blood right in your face. But this one is not a cheesy kung fu movie although it is dubbed it is done tastefully and I have no problem with it. Overall probably my favorite Samuri film even better than Akira Korasawa's Kagemusha.
